I've had mine since December and I love it. Goodbye hard drives!

Mine is plugged in behind the TV and the modem is about 2 metres away on massive wireless speakers. I get on average 15-20Mbps speed at home and I've been streaming HD content effortlessly with no lag what so ever. Mirroring from my Nexus 6p is a breeze as well. Also I didn't need this device as I already have a smart TV, though this trumps that now.

I think each user will have a different experience. In my opinion, I highly recommend it.

I've  had mine (2.0) about a month - got it from PB Tech.  I haven't played with it a great deal, but my first impressions aren't all that good.  First, I couldn't set it up using my S4 until I disabled the S4 option to automatically switch between wifi and cellular data.  Ok, sorted that but it still is pretty flakey.  Streaming (mirroring) my phone content is pretty jerky and it often disconnects.

I have also had the internet fall over completely (needed ASDL modem restart) a couple of times since installing CC.  I currently have the ChromeCast disconnected to see if the problem is associated with that.  OK so far...

I don't know how much of this is due to the fact that I run 2 access points in order to get acceptable WiFi coverage throughout the house.

Well, everywhere except Dick Smith, apparently. I'll grab one from Noel Leeming at lunchtime.

Meh - still fractionally dearer than getting them from the US, and no colour choice?

Just get it mate. Think about the amount of fuss and time involved in getting it from US plus shipping time. Here you can just pop in any of the select stores closest to you today and enjoy it this weekend. Plus colours won't really matter if it's going behind the TV ;)

I've got 4 already, 3 red and 1 yellow :-)  Completely preaching to the converted here mate!  I love them - for the price, you can't go wrong!  Agree that most will go behind the TV but it's still nice to have the choice.

The price is at least decent compared to the $100 odd that local retailers were selling them for prior to now. I sourced all from overseas already due to this, but would probably buy locally if/when I need any more.

I got the red one and it has helped me find it in a pile of cables a couple of times, so well worth it over boring black.

I was surprised with the CC Audio, I thought I might struggle to justify them over the standard, but I've just received my second one as I found it pretty good and wanted to create a group.

I have 3 of the audio ones. Grouping is terrible, worse than my LG speakers are at times. And make chirply corrupt file sounds all the time.

Oh good. Oh well, hopefully it improves with time, I haven't set up the second one yet so no experience to report on it. Individually, I found it great.
