Hi,

I have a Samsung BD-H6500 blu-ray player and a Samsung 50" F6700 Smart TV. The SmartHub on the blu-ray is set to UK and the TV's is set to Australia. Using Unotelly for an unblocking service. It all works rather well, except for the BBC News app. The BBC News app was working well 3 days ago, but now news stories fail to load. The app itself loads ok, but when an individual news item loads, the red circle symbol just keeps rotating.

I reported this to Unotelly, but they said that BBC News is currently not a supported channel. No complaints with Unotelly; their support response time is quick and they do support a lot of channels.

I am wondering if other Samsung Smart TV / Blu-ray owners are having the same problem.

Thanks,

Tim

Have just checked and I am also having the same problem with the BBC News app on our 3 Sammy TVs.

Also checked the BBC iplayer and that is working fine for both the on-demand and live streaming functions. Possibly a problem with the app itself at this stage.

Ah yes, I was trying it earlier on my Samsung TV and I had the same problem.  Iplayer is fine.

This might be a BBC error or BBC geoblocking. Would be very interesting to know if Samsung users in UK have this issue.

I'm with Unblockus, BBC News app is working fine on my H6400.

My BBC News app is working again now, but I still get a number of news stories that will not play. Nevermind, the live news on the BBC iPlayer app is pretty good.
