Can anyone give a bit of a dummies guide to getting this working in Kodi? I'm having a try but it's really not simple. The guides I've found suggest you need to find a PVR add on (which one?), maybe install a plug-in, etc.

There seems to have been a few addons mentioned....but I haven't seen a single comment on "use this repo and install this addon"  which is probably what you're after.

Head over to Matt Huisman's blog and take a look. He was mattrix (or something) on here. But has a freeview add-on with his own repo's and has made it very easy to get stuff happening.

You can try this? Looks like Matt has done all the explaining with a great tutorial on his blog and his own Freeview addon. You might need to google it. As geekzone doesnt want to allow his name in the post , weird..

If you want to test it with my playlist and his xml epg,  change the playlist to

http://www.apsattv.com/kiwitv2.m3u

There are other addons around also, like the Kodi Teamx one

Google "Matt freeview kodi addon" for that article. I'll try it later today.

He was contributing here quiet a lot. Pity the mods decided to ban him.

Also, most of his previous posts on geekzone have been deleted for some reason.

This has been discussed and there's no reason to bring back this topic. So just leave it now.

Thanks, that worked for me. I've never used Kodi before, all set up within 5min.

I take it Prime isn't available? Our TV has no reception, so was hoping to watch the delayed rugby coverage on Saturday somehow. Looks like it's not possible

Could any of the streams be used in an appleTV4 somehow?

There are a few apps that seem to accept streaming from an URL (infuse) for example but I'm not sure on how it would work

Cheers

First to ask has the obligation to try it foot-in-mouth  Infuse would be the only app I'd think of, unless videolan has been released to apple tv4.
