Rikkitic:

When you install TiviMate you just add the playlists you want. Otherwise just go to Settings/Playlists/Add Playlist after installing. One of the many great things about it is you can have as many playlists as you like (unlike Kodi). I use the Huisman list for NZ and Oz Freeview, along with several by @apsattv. For example, this is the NZ/Oz playlist URL: https://i.mjh.nz/nzau/kodi-tv.m3u8. This is the EPG: https://i.mjh.nz/nzau/epg.xmlJust type them in when asked for and you are done. If you only want NZ and not both, just remove 'au' from the URL.

I know nothing about Flix as I have never felt a need to move beyond TiviMate.

Thanks. Typed NZ url exactly as above, triple checked and entered it in M3U playlist field but it gives an error and can’t go further. Should I have entered in the Xtream field? Checked setttings and all greyed out except for unlock premium so I suspect you need to pay first to get a 7 day free trial which I’m not prepared to do before I try it out.

Laborious typing with the remote.

Not sure what you are encountering but something isn't right. This is not how it works. You do not need to pay anything for free trial. It is hard for me to diagnose since I already have an account but I will see what I can do. Here is an install guide that might help. I will also see if I can do a fresh install on a different device to see what is happening.

The user interface is pretty simple to follow. Does the bold type i.mjh.nz mean anything. I just typed it in a plain font.

No it's just the text. I will see what I can do but it may take some time.

Don’t worry, I have Kodi working but was always curious how to do IPTV. Tried a few times with no success. It could be a case of having to subscribe first and haven’t had the time to muck around with it.

I had a Sat feed connected on the weekend for back up Freeview but it wasn’t successful and he has to come back. Figured it would allow us something to watch if broadband was ever down and couldn’t access the boxes.

@Eva888

If you are not using Kodi, try using https://i.mjh.nz/nz/raw-tv.m3u8 as the M3U Play list. The kodi-tv.m3u8 file has Kodi specific stuff in it that other IPTV plays may not understand.

Yay...it worked! Thank you. Do you have the epg link? Wouldn’t mind adding the Aus ones as well.

Wonder if this will also work on my 4K Apple TV Box assuming TVMate is in their Play Store.

@Rikkitic I can see why you prefer the TVMate to Kodi. It’s a much nicer interface and quicker to access without a dozen clicks to arrive at live TV. Also access to the various settings is much easier and not as clumsy as Kodi. Channel 1 and 2 has been playing without the freezing. Pity it’s not available in the Samsung App Store lineup so I wouldn’t need the box.

Thanks to @djtOtago for the other link, am very happy.

So TiviMate is working for you now? Is that correct? I don't need to do anything further? I wouldn't have thought to try the raw link since the Kodi one works fine for me. Good call.

Here is the EPG URL: https://i.mjh.nz/nzau/epg.xml

If you can't find TiviMate in the play store, you can usually sideload it, though I don't have experience of Apple TV. I'm sure someone else can help you with it.

Yes thanks @Rikkitic it’s working well. Just have to fiddle with it and learn how to fine tune it to my liking. Big smile on my face today. Even inputting is easier than Kodi. I have a new toy now.

Glad you are sorted. The free version defaults are pretty good for most things, but I found it worthwhile to pay the one-off fee for the professional version, which allows recording and multiple playlists, amongst other things. Depends on your needs. The configuration possibilities are endless and I am still learning cool things about it. I have never had issues with it buffering but even that can be adjusted if necessary. It is worth going through that guide I linked step by step to explore all the possibilities. Have fun!

Can you also watch movies on the free version as well of the Tivi?

You can watch movies on any playlist that includes movies. It has nothing to do with TiviMate, paid or free.

Tivimate is Android only. IPTVX is nearest equivalent on the Apple TV

Tried on my Apple TV with IPTVX and it wouldn’t accept the raw link.

Now that I have entered the first playlist on the tivimate and it’s working perfectly, the only way to add another M3U playlist is to go premium which I would have done happily if it worked on the Apple as well. Maybe time to sell the AppleTV unless I can get the FTA channels on it some other way. Lots of IPTV apps there but haven’t had much luck with them and it won’t do Kodi either.
