I gave an old apple tv 3 to my mother who's been using it at her house (on my account).  She should be on 50mbps HFC cable connection with just her at home.

I get the 2 x HD streams package.

She says it keeps dropping out.  Is there some sort of restriction over the 2 streams being from the same ip?  or any issues with an old Apple TV3 ui?

I believe it just drops out during playback, seems to almost respring back to the Apple TV main menu.

I'm wondering if there's no issues with streams from differing IPs (which would be hard for us to be playing back at the same time, but we would be logged in at the same time - I have an apple tv 4 always on).

Then it could be an apple tv3 hardware issue, or a hdmi cable issue, or possibly a Netflix App on Apple TV3 issue - maybe some update in the past couiple of weeks.

I guess I'm after anyone using Apple tv3 with netflix and if you have any issues

Nope, 2 streams work from anywhere you like without problems.

Using an unblocker tho? That seems to screw things up exiting out I have found.

No, not for netflix, and she doesn't have anything

I've got an Apple TV3 and use netflix. The thing is so robust, other streaming services fail (neon, tvnz, 3 now) for oddball reasons (my router last time?) but Netflix is ol'faithful and always keeps on working.

I have seen some older threads suggesting forcing the profile to medium quality rather than auto.  I just got her to play something from red bull tv, and it seemed to have no issues.
