I don't normally use Facebook and I don't know much about it. Tomorrow I need to put a local political debate being streamed via Facebook on the big TV. I set up the link this evening to test it and it seems to work, but I only get a narrow cell phone video window. I assume that is normal. Are there any secrets or tricks to receiving a Facebook stream or is it just a matter of clicking on the site? I don't have a Facebook account. This is a public broadcast.

Yeh, portrait will be because it's comming from a phone and not a vid camera linked to FB.

How are you upscaling the stream to be ok to view on a TV?  i.e. wont it become more blurry?

Seems to be ok from our viewing position. I have an HTPC with HDMI already set up for the TV, I just don't normally use it for Facebook. I'm just using a Chrome browser set to full screen and it looks good enough, just the narrow window.

The apple TV 4 Facebook videos app is awesome.  Can watch live streams and search for videos but you may need a Facebook login to watch any though.

Which are you referring to? My Facebook question related to a local debate. This is the one in Christchurch if that is what you mean: http://www.radionz.co.nz/news/election-2017/338927/video-stuff-s-leaders-debate
