Hi, I am a daily listener of radio sport, I'm not a fan of the crap AM stream so I tend to stream the station on iheartradio.

Recently they have been pushing 15 second video adds before stream starts and full page banner adds when radio is playing, see screenshot.

What makes it worse iheartradio don't have an option to pay to remove this rubbish so I have started using podcast addict. And drop the url into the radio section. Seems to work really well. Does anyone have any better streaming apps for Android that they would recommend.

But what really is a 15 second spot, to have a free service after this? And since this is a radio why worry with the page ads?

Radio has adds, this is adds on top of adds, when I press play I expect to listen to the station.

They have got to the point of taking the piss with users and I'm not having a bar of it.

And page adds are ripping data off my data plan, it's really disgusting that they do that.

Interesting. I use it all the time to listen to RNZ and have never seen any ads.

Maybe it only shows ads for the NZME stations?
