So I read you need a gift voucher so I add $1 credit to my gift vouchers.

I still cannot rent anything, it comes back with the usual must be using a US credit card etc.

Well that was a waste of $9. No matter what you do, remove your credit cards, remove all your credit card addresses that get automatically. The system wont take the gift card# it sends you. takes your money though.

Ok whoever reckons they can use a NZ CC on Amazong to rent movies has led us astray.

Here in lie the problem.

Error 2039

Even if you're paying with a Amazon.com Gift Card or promotional balance, to purchase Amazon Video titles you need a billing address and valid payment method from an eligible location in your 1-Click settings.

So you cannot as suggested on here before remove your credit cards and you cannot remove their addresses to fix the problem.
