Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get a good streaming set up going at my home and am looking into AppleTV.

There are quite a few shows that we like to watch on the CW and I'm aware that you can use a VPN to log on the CW site and stream the latest episodes, like TVNZ On Demand.

Ive searched around and there is in fact a CW app for the AppleTV in the US. So if we used a VPN on a NZ Apple TV, could we download and stream CW?

And could we set up an Apple TV to stream US Netflix?

I don't have an Apple TV so can not test this myself, just wondering if anyone has experience with this.

Cheers,

CW App works fine with Getflix. RE US Netflix there are a number of other threads that speak of the complexity. I don’t bother anymore.

I use the cw app as well. About one of the only us broadcast sites you can use without a cable subscription.

I think you can get NBC also without a cable subscription.  I recall trying recently and watching a show without having to supply cable credentials.

As for US Netflix, as others have noted it's quite hard now. And with their move to more of their own content, available everywhere it's probably less of an issue now.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

I've managed to find a way to get CW, US Netflix, etc working on some of my devices, and hopefully should be fine on my AppleTV  once I get it.

Anything related to US Netflix / Hulu is not to be discussed in the public space. We have private forums for that reason.

Please send me a PM if you're not added.
