Am currently in the states on holiday and thought I'd try to watch the super rugby final last night. So I installed ExpressVPN on my Android phone (OnePlus 5T), fired it up and set it to NZ. But watching SKY Go wouldn't work. When I click on the channel or ondemand link I get a message that reads something like "Oops. Something went wrong" and no other explanation.

Anyone know why it wouldnt work? Or anything I can try to get it going?

I have had huge trouble trying to watch SkyGo from overseas using VPN's.  The only way I found it possible was to be using my sim on roaming and using mobile data (which all goes back via NZ).

The best option for rugby over there is rugbypass using the VPN (Asia based).

I literally just came back from the US and was able to VPN into my home from the hotel's WiFi and watch the Super Rugby semi final last weekend on SkyGo. If the hotel's WiFi wasn't so bad, would've worked a charm!

Just tried it on iOS and got the same no result.

I wonder if it's something to do with the guest wifi at the Airbnb we're at.

@sonyxperiageek what vpn client did you use?

My VPN is hosted on my UniFi USG, and I'm using the built-in Android VPN client.
