The terms and conditions state that the service is only available within Australia :-(

Since when has that mattered in this day and age of vpn and dns services. Someone might like to give it a go and report back.

Google shows me this is Foxtel. Now offering a full app as well as the Foxtel service. This aligns with Sky offering a full app as they have said they will. Makes sense.

Im not sure if Foxtel has the same churn challenges as Sky, but they are embarking on a venture that has an extra cost for them, they will lose revenue as people churn to the app, gain some as previous churners move back to the app. It would stabilise their revenue stream. In NZ, Sky now has Spark Sports who will slowly dilute Skys sport offerings, so with Foxtel's move and with Spark Sport, you would imagine Sky's full app that they say they will release one day, should be sooner than later?

You do need an aussie number to sign up, got a mate to sign up and chucked me his logins. Service works amazingly with VPN.

Apsattv:

I did mention it, as it's not obvious on the website (although I should've gathered from the .com.au).  I noted with interest that the language of the T&C's is that the service is only available within Australia - it doesn't seem to have explicit language to the effect of "thou shall not use a VPN service to access this site" as per others.

Might have to give it a trial myself :-)

Cheers!

There's a large thread about the service over at the aussie whirlpool forums. With a lot of positive feedback.

I'm looking at doing the same, though just saw this in their Help section..

"Note: Kayo does not support Virtual Private Networks (VPN). If you have a VPN enabled on your device, you will need to choose to disable it."

I use Foxtel Now over here (NZ) with a VPN and a Chromecast without any issue for over a year now. The only thing stopping me switching to Kayo is the Android app hasn't been released yet (should be by the end next month), and I don't have a Chromecast Ultra (only have 1st and 2nd gen ones). PB Tech's Black Friday sale is on soon, and hopefully they will be on sale to fix that problem.

But don't worry Kiwis. Sky are going to offer a SVoD service by next April for everyone https://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/tv-radio/102904029/sky-announces-new-strategy-to-keep-up-with-changing-entertainment-trends #notholdingmybreath And even if it does launch, I'd be surprised if it has the same features that Kayo has.
