Anyone notice how the streams where changing quality as well as framerate?  it would look with great movement and then suddenly drop to 25fps before going back to 50fps... Android TV app (not latest version posted here though).

sounds like your quality is jumping about. check the network isnt under performing?

Nope network is all fine; 37mbps vdsl, domain controllers are ok and pointing internal network to 2Degrees DNS servers, Unifi network is showing no conflicts and USG wasn't at max use.  Wasn't all the time but it was clear that the stream quality was dropping including framerate and then would pop back to 1080p/50.

I never saw any quality changes, in the 2 hours of FP and Quali I watched last night

It seems intermittant, wasn't present in the race vod that I've just finished watching, but was in the the FP/Quali and also the Man Utd vs southampton game.

I'd also like to get an idea on what it's going to look like. I looked at a few of the older videos but they aren't that great (even since the FPS upgrade) and I am unsure if this is indicative of the "final" product. Hopefully, soon they will have something to show us.

I dont see how that would give a guide. Its artificial. Isn't there a RWC pre tournament match soon? Before RWC starts?

Did I read somewhere they would stream the SA v Japan game on the 6th of Sept? Not sure how factual scoop.co.nz is but that was the first google result.

Surprised it doesn't show on the upcoming events area in the app.

I noticed it when testing my FIL's Sony OLED TV and on my Sony Android TV as well. Maybe 20% of the passes in Rugby looked worse than others.

Sometimes it was excellent, other times awful.

Watched a few games of Premier League this weekend - the Southampton game I watched live on Saturday night - very good quality when it was working, but a few times it just stopped and then gave me an error message of some sort...I had to refresh the stream a few times which is quite frustrating in live sport.

Watching games that had already been played  - the quality of the picture was excellent - almost hyper-realistic. Even AirPlaying from iPad to Apple TV - very good.

If they can sort out the consistency and get the live streams working first time every time, I'll be very happy.

Was FP/Quali and also the Man Utd vs southampton game live or OD?

I'm not sure if the Live and OD asset are identical or not. I.e. if there was a glitch live, that might exist live and also if you rewound live, but maybe in OD it gets tidied up?  @Talkiet ?

F1 free practices where live and Quali, race and the footy was OD.  It could be a sudden bandwidth loss but it seems odd that its breif and inconsistent yet my network only ever shows ~25% internet usage when streaming from Spark Sport ( I keep the full speed down from 37mbps by about 15% to ensure I always have capacity for TCP connections etc.).

Spark has acknowledged some ongoing issues.

It's really disappointing to be this close to the RWC and still seeing regular issues.

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of why there were picture and sound issues at the AB's Squad announcement the other day?

OD is the saved version of Live so any glitches from live transition to the VOD asset.

How did the Spa F1 go streaming wise?

Much difference between live stream and watching replay post race?

I had constant buffering issues and poor picture quality on the Apple TV app for my Apple tv4k for the north London derby. Did anyone else have issues who used Apple TV 4 or applet tv 4K? It seemed to have worked on iPhone fine but the Apple TV app was rubbish.

GRR signed up for my 2 months free SparkSport, but have to remember to cancel and opt out before the time is up to avoid charges to my credit card. Not cool Spark.

So is that 2 calendar months or a strict 8 weeks, or some other random determination of 2 months?
