Double sucks. Shows as NOT installable for my Sony Android TV

That does surprise me given the love in Spark has for Sony Android TVs.

Good to find out that there’s a SmartVu app. Have installed and given it a quick run - looks good, works well.

Still hanging out for the LG app though - for our main TV.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

What year do you have? They say they support 2017 onwards as listed above.

eracode, could you by any chance extract the apk and upload it for me?  I'd like to see the device restrictions and possibly remove them?

Has anyone else noticed recently that after the latest Chrome browser update that it no longer plays smoothly?

Despite all the usual troubleshooting, the only solution has been to use Firefox.

Google suggests I'm not alone, and I'm sure 99% of standard users out there will get really frustrated at issues like this which they can't easily solve without having to reinstall profiles or Windows etc.

Well that sucks.  Its showing as not installable on my nVidia shield TV.  Why can't spark just make a generic android tv app like most companies do.  Need a unrestricted APK like the freeview TV one

It needs to be sideloaded. It's working perfectly on my Shield.

Cheers - N

Cheers.  Where can you get the APK from? Any reason why Spark has chosen to not include the Shield has an installable device? I can understand perhaps not supporting it but there is no need to block it given the shield is likely used by power users.

But the problem is to sideload it requires access to the APK which isn't available as I can't download it for my Shields.... It becomes circular unless the APK becomes available via other sites.. hence also why I was asking if I can get the APK.

I don't recommend any APK direct download sites so won't link to any but literally 2 seconds in Google for a search showed me the main two APK sites have it.

2017 OLED KD55A1 So should be supported.

I do have a Samsung TV (Can't remember model) that does have the Spark sport app, But that is not the device I want to use.

I have an Android TV, a normal Android TV, not some weird imported thing. They said they were going to support Android TV. They have released an app for Android TV that appears to only be installable on one manufactured device.  It is getting very frustrating.

I can find it on APK sites but all the downloads fail. Looks like the download is heavily restricted to specific devices at the moment.

If anyone can get or can point me to how to get it it would be appreciated to test on a FireTV.

What's it called, as all I could find was the mobile / tablet version of the APK!
