Fog:

Agree with you. Looking forward to an Android app so can watch with Chromecast.

I tried it last night from my Android phone. Just in the Chrome browser. Went straight in and didn't prompt me to install an app. No sign in required and let me cast to my Chromecast from the browser. I was pleasantly surprised.

I tried last night from the App.  Played fine on my mobile but Chromecast from the App did not go well.  Buffering every few minutes.  Possibly our internet (VDSL 25Mbps down) but fairly certain the phone was working over WiFi so the internet is probably not the problem.  TV is Sony A8F.

Has anyone found the Android App yet, and is it Android TV compatible?

I'd love to give it a try on my FireTV Sticks.

Sideloaded the Android app to my Mi Box and unfortunately it doesn't work. Just crashes starting up (no error given).

Watched the Doco on the "Royal Jewel's" via Chromecast Ultra and iOS iPad, all good, not problems. Was an old 4:9 show though so had side bars.

Maybe the app thinks the Mi Box is rooted.  I have an Android media player and TVNZ OnDemand won't work for the same reason.

Just had a quick look at the site via Desktop Chrome; selected a random BBC Documentary to look at the details of.

Here are the episode details cut'n'pasted from the website:

Ancient Worlds, E2: The Age Of Iron - Richard Miles looks at the winners, losers and survivors of the great Bronze Age collapse.
Ancient Worlds, E3: The Greek Thing - Richard Miles explores the power and the paradox of the 'Greek Thing'.
Ancient Worlds, E6: City Of Man, City Of God - In the last of the series, Richard Miles examines the rise and fall of the Roman Empire.
Ancient Worlds, E5: Republic Of Virtue - Archaeologist and historian Richard Miles examines the phenomenon of the Roman Republic.
Ancient Worlds, E1: Come Together - Richard Miles traces the roots of civilisation in Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Anatolia and Greece.
Ancient Worlds, E4: Return Of The King - Richard Miles traces the battle-scarred career of Alexander the Great.

What a random and bizarre episode-order. It's not presented numerically, nor sorted alphabetically, or indeed placed in any order via a key I can determine. How weird.

Definitely some content that is 1080p.  I dont have a 4K TV so cant confirm if there's any higher resolution I'm afraid:

Chromecasting works well.

Had a nosy.. Bro Town was the only thing I could find worth watching, and the stream was low quality and not worth ripping.

Pass.

I reached out to the Stuff team and at present there isn't an Android TV compatible version. They are looking into it, but no ETA

It plays on the Silk Browser in a bufferless stream in full screen on my 4K Fire Stick, but only after killing GetFlix. Veon 55" reports it as 3840x2160@60Hz, which isn't particularly helpful.... I reckon its 720p upscaled..

Cheers
