Apsattv:Nope because i'm watching it on Youtube ;-)
I thought they did well, better than sky sport now quality., still a little way to catch up with Kayo, but no buffering for me great start though.

Out of interest, how do you find it on YouTube?

No, but when I watched is after the game, I had issues
Watched first innings. Came back and it started at 26 runs in, took the slider back and same period. The slider would not go back to the start just to a few overs in. Shut it down, restarted, I could then go back to where I wanted to
Image was good, sharp, smooth, but the ball was juddery on pans. I watched the first match on TV1 via Sky, no issue there
Re your post, I didnt watch live, so possibly may have had that issue
JarrodM:
Did do some unscientific tests on Friday night. The Kayo stream was ahead of the spark sport stream by about 20 seconds... .
Thats interesting as TV1 was ahead by about that too on match 1. If another SVOD didnt have that, then a valid question. But, true live doesnt allow a buffering/fix it period if there was a minor glitch
My wife is upset that we can't see these matches.
The issue isn't the Spark Sport sub which we would (grudgingly) pay, but Spark have not addressed the problem of data caps for rural internet users. Why can't they have an arrangement with Sky to carry Spark Sport live matches as a subscription channel or PPV?
There were numerous times in the coverage on friday night that the camera didn't follow the ball and rather focused on the players running. This is not how you watch cricket as the ball is always live and the most important area.
I'm surprised they didn't use a picture in picture for running as most other cricket broadcasts do, also the graphics were VERY slow at updating causing confusion at which ball the bowler was up to and the correct current score.
I expect all these things to improve with time.

My folks are on a rural wireless connection and watched most of the game.
They switched off when WI was 8 wickets down.
Thanks to the magic of michaelmurfys unifi site I can say that the SmartVu unit went through about 4-5GB of data.
I did have to restart the app several times but that gives an indication of how much data a T20 game needs.
As an aside, the upcoming tests will be on SparkSport only?
