old3eyes: Looks like The Grand Tour is geoblocked in NZ. OK via Getflix. Who in NZ has the license for this program?

It is not geoblocked.

Just tried to play it on my tablet defailt ISP DNS and got a geoblocked license restriction message. Ok on my Fire TV with Getflix

I can watch it fine on Prime via 2degrees broadband. Yah for free Prime on 2degrees... no way I would pay for it otherwise.

Working for me on iPhone and is not geo blocked.

Got as far as hearing “hello and welcome to the sweatbox that is Cambodia”. That’s as far as I got and won’t be watching anymore.

Watched it yesterday, and got a little cringey when I saw Clarkson's choice of boat, but it was all OK.

I enjoy the banter between these three, and this one seemed quite genuine (some of their later Top Gear specials seemed quite contrived IMO).

Waiting for more.

LOL - and I presume all art needs to be inoffensive and match your world view as well?

Stashe: Not interested in watching these racist bigot boomers. Surprised this show is even allowed here in NZ. Sort yourself out Prime. Top gear has been so much better since they left.

The irony, your use of the word "boomers" in context indicates a bigotry.

It sounds like you are trying to impose your moral view and interpretation on others. I find that substantially more offensive than anything on TV or the main streaming services that I can think of.

Are you able to address my other points about whether you'd like censorship of books and comedians and art? ie. getting anything you find offensive banned?

Cheers - N

I'm sure you will be quiet happy then with South Park and their mocking of trans athletes? Way too transphobic if you ask me, and yes this show should be banned too. Its not about my moral view at all. Racism/bigotory should be banned, or at the very least censored! Its more than just offensive, its a crime.

Actually yes, I am fine with controversial comedy. And will all due respect if it was a crime, it shouldn't just be banned, but those responsible should be taken to court and punished. Are they?

If I find something distasteful or offensive, I am going to stop watching it. What I am not going to do is say that everyone else should have MY values enforced on them.

Would you also ban?

- All Bill Hicks comedy?

- Frankie Boyle?

- Rick and Morty?

- Blazing Saddles?

It offends me that you think your morals and standards should apply to everyone - because in calling for shows you find offensive to be banned, that is what you are saying. You are saying everyone should adopt your moral standards and fall in line with your thinking.

That's not the way the real world works and it's offensive to those who believe that they are capable of making their own judgements. It's like hard core Vegans that believe all animal farming should be stopped regardless of the realities or wishes of others.

In any case, I know your opinion won't change - you seem extremely confident of your position and I respect that - but I don't respect you trying to make others live by your standards.

Cheers - N

Apart from the above, South Park mocks everybody. None of their targets have any reason to feel singled out. They are an equal opportunity mocker.

I feel like Stashe has come to the wrong forum to try push their view on everyone

I note they were offended at people who eat meat in the BBQ thread too
