You should be able to purchase it if you have a US account, and some US dollars in your account. It's US$29.99 to buy and US$19.99 to rent.

Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power, and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition, who has yet to discover her true heart. The two meet as students at Shiz University in the fantastical Land of Oz and forge an unlikely but profound friendship. Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and their lives take very different paths. Glinda's unflinching desire for popularity sees her seduced by power, while Elphaba's determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences on her future. Because of the recent price hikes for physical media. I have decided to go 100% Digital for my movie collecting needs. This week alone, I bought three very recent 2024 films for $9.99 each, which is much less than the price of just one of the titles on 4K Ultra HD disc. This means that I will be paying more attention to the Apple Store releases, and I will post anything I think is of interest, in this thread.

Anyone who is also thinking of going Digital, and you are not sure how to attack it, I have a recommendation for you.

In my opinion, the Apple TV app, which can be downloaded and installed on most Smart TV's, or the Apple TV 4K streaming box are the best options for NZ users. With the Apple TV 4K streaming box being my preferred and most recommended choice.

There are two models available in NZ; the Wi-Fi only 64gb (RRP $279) and the Wi-Fi & Ethernet 128gb ($319). Users can buy or rent movies, and buy music from the Apple Store. Most users will only need the 64gb model, unless they are going to be downloading a lot of games from Apple Arcade or prefer an ethernet connection. The Apple TV 4K streaming box is all that you need to stream all of your favourite apps. Its great if you have an older TV with HDMI ports, which doesn't support some of the newly updated apps including TVNZ+ and 3NOW.The beauty of running your Disney Plus, Netflix, Prime Video or Apple TV+ apps from the box, is that there are NO ADS!. There is no Freeview app at the moment.

There are rumours of a new model coming in 2025, but there are no specifications as yet; only that the new model could have a price cut.

I have my Apple TV 4K media player hooked up to my Yamaha receiver, but it can be connected directly to your TV.

The artwork for the Quentin Tarantino films Kill Bill 1 & 2 and Jackie Brown has been updated in line with the upcoming 4K Ultra HD physical media releases in the US. So those of us who already have these films will soon be getting a free 4K upgrade. 😀
