IPhone App works great on my 3GS although not sure I will use it much. Certainly not going to watch a movie over mobile data, in which case I am probably at home. Might be useful when travelling.

Content library continuing to grow VERY slowly. When is ITV content gonna be added!!!

@richms - I've never seen any picture/audio quality issues like you describe, sounds like an issue with your internet connection or ISP.

Quickflix is pleased to announce that its WatchNow streaming service is now available in New Zealand on all Panasonic Viera Connect TVs.  The new service allows users to stream movies and TV shows over the internet directly to their Panasonic TV for even more viewing options at home.

Viera Connect users are now able to access Quickflix streaming and watch unlimited movies and television shows instantly, on demand, for one low monthly subscription fee.  Quickflix subscribers simply access the Viera Connect platform on their Panasonic Viera Connect TVs and choose Quickflix from the home screen.

Paddy Buckley, Managing Director of Quickflix NZ, said "We're delighted to  introduce our WatchNow streaming service to Panasonic TVs.  This is another great step in the evolution of our service and the application itself is brilliant to use and a tribute to everyone involved in this project.  We'll be rolling out on further platforms in the near future and continuing to grow our content."

Good progress.

Bring on a Samsung one and one for the AppleTV and I could be in.

Wonder if that will include Panasonic's BD players as well.  As asked Panasonic a couple of weeks ago but they never answered..

I just checked on my Panasonic TV. It's a 2011 model, but it got upgraded with Viera Connect and Marketplace a while ago, but I can't see the Quickflix app anywhere in the Marketplace. Has anyone else found it? Or will it be rolled out overnight?

I downloaded this on my Playstation.
Brought a months trial and touched it a couple of times.
I'm to spoiled by Blu-ray picture and sound so i'm not a fan of poor quality sound picture that digital d/loads produce.

Might have another look one day and see what any new content is like.

If you get the chance, or inclination, and you can figure out how to do it, have a look at any of the Vudu movie offerings (HDX quality).

http://www.vudu.com/

I was simply blown away at the outstanding quality of the HDX stuff that you can stream through Vudu.
The video was full 1080p24, and the audio was certainly nothing to be scoffed at (Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 thru 7.1)
I can't claim that it is on the same level (at least specs wise) as Blu-ray can offer, but for a streaming offering, it is definitely the very best I have seen (I'm also a Blu-ray snob ;) ).

Granted, the service is a "US Only" service at this point, and in terms of bandwidth it certainly isn't on the lite side. But, it just goes to show that there are streaming services out there delivering a top-notch user experience. It is possible.

QuickFlix, my challenge to you is to deliver a service as good as, or better, than Vudu.
Go!

;)

Sky were hinting last week that Netflix was on its way to NZ and that an announcement was imminent
Has anyone any information on this. Is SKY involved with brining it to NZ.
News Corp already have a share in Quickflix via Lachlans private investment vehicle so if they are also invoved with Netflix we will have a complete lock down with Sky having a stake in every delivery medium in New Zealand
That is Saturn, TVNZ, Quickflix and now possibly Netflix
Where is Commerce Commission when you need them

Not there on my V20. Might be like some of the other goodies with Panasonic where Viera Connect on the older sets doesn't have the same level of functionality.

the PS3 stream is only SD for some reason.
If you have a Bravai TV/Blu-Ray and stream throug that instead it will be HD where available, and it works pretty well. (not sure about pana and samsung Tvs though)

I also have a V20. I emailed panasonic support and was told that  "Only selected 30 series models i.e. ST30/VT30 not GT20 are able to access Quikflix"
