We've started providing prerelease beta builds of the Powershop mobile app (iOS and Android) to customers who would like try these out. These beta builds have new and upcoming features which we release to the public later on. To get an idea of how many beta builds you'll get, we've been releasing around 3 beta builds to our beta testers before we release live through the App Store and Google Play. We love receiving feedback from our beta testers which help shape our app.

If you're a Powershop customer and would like to get the beta builds check out the instructional pages below with how to get setup.

iOS - http://blog.powershop.co.nz/become-an-ios-beta-test-pilot/
Android - http://blog.powershop.co.nz/become-an-android-beta-test-pilot/

Requirements: iOS you'll need iOS 8 and the TestFlight App (which you download during beta setup). Android you'll need Android 4.0.3 or above and a Google+ account.

Any questions just yell out in the comments below!

Athlonite: Oh look iOS and Android only again you know these aren't the only phone OS's around hows about some WP8.1 love please

Yup we hear you Athlonite. At this stage the demand from our customers for Windows phone app just isn't there. We do listen to each request for a Windows app and keep track of the demand so that we can see if it increases. While we're not developing a Windows app at the moment, that's not to say we won't reevaluate later on if the demand does increase.

In saying that we do have a public API which I believe Regs has already made a Windows app for over at http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=152&topicid=97106 have you tried this?

Our API docs are available here too.

Yeah I'm not actually an power shop customer

But it's continuous thinking like yours that helps keep windows phone down people don't want to buy a WP phone because they know that there wont be an app for it support for all users regardless of the phone OS is what needs to happen

The problem is developers aren't exactly cheap and businesses just can't justify spending the same amount of money as they do on the bigger platforms.

You either have to deal with it in hopes the marketshare grows or switch platforms. Being vocal about it isn't really helping the cause unless you want to fund the development.

I am a Powershop customer and a WP user, and I would love an official Powershop app.  I currently use Regan's app, but would love to be able to do everything from my phone.
