BP Rocks the party.

Im getting 70Mbps and 19.5 on 2Ghz through 4 walls, however Im getting 99.9Mbps and 20.8Mbps using 5Ghz. Yet our last connection was MUCH slower with less distance, less walls, less thickness of walls (and insulation).

Interesting results. Basically 5Ghz was useless in our apartment prior outside in the room, and 2Ghz was 30Mbps and 10Mbps.

Very pleased but a bit miffed. Same old HG659 I got for $10 on TM.

Not sure if i'm missing it, or it's just not really clear, but did you pickup the HG659 or the Smart Modem? (Bigpipe do this)

Great results none the less :) Wifi can work, it's just never assured....

Is the difference due to the number of neighbours sharing the same WiFi airspace? You say the slower figures were in an apartment which would be expected to have neighbours within the same sphere?

I should have added that an app like WiFi Analyzer can be run on your phone or PC to show the contenders for that limited WiFi airspace.
