PetAT:
SepticSceptic: You could try rollies, though it takes a bit of practice to get a good even roll, and you may find that most far northerners who smoke, will smoke rollies. A cheaper overall option. You can roll as thin or as thick as you like.

Though the packet will go stale after a month or so, and lose the tobacco taste, and taste like soapy straw. A good incentive to stop :-)

At lease you can take a couple of gasps, and then let it go out for an hour, or just hang into it, and then re-light when necessary.

Port Royal is nicely flavoured.

Alternatively, have a cigar. You're gonna go far, you're gonna fly high,
You're never gonna die, you're gonna make it if you try; they're gonna love you
(Pink Floyd ...)

Just don't inhale into the lungs ....

I didn't know Cigars were popularly sold in NZ. Yea Cigars look classy and nice, I would rather get those instead of cigarets if I can. Where do you get Cigars from? Which brands and how much are they? :-)

Most bottle shops, some dairy's.

You can get the baby cigars in packets of 5, all the way up to single stoogies, lovingly rolled between the thighs of dusky virgins .. :-)

$20 for a stoogie is a fair bet for a starter ... don't forget you'll need to clip the end that you light first.

Or perhaps a pipe ? Sherlock Holmes style ?

My thoughts are no longer my own and is probably representative of our media-controlled government

You know thats not a bad idea, its similar to the shisha stuff isn't it?  now that I come to think of it, almost all members of my family used pipes.... I guess I could just grab a pipe and some filters off trademe, but where do you get lose tobacco? not likely from the pumps/dairy? What are the costs (compared to $20 throat cancer boxes?)... thanks..

This is so in the wrong topic. My advice is this:

1. Get a good looking eciggarette and keep it empty
2. Tell them that's how you gave up and it was easy
2. Do not use any tobacco or tobacco products

For some reason I have seen a few tobacco related posts on social media lately so I'm looking at this a bit sideways tbh.

Just one question..how the hell do you guys smoke this rubbish...what the heck is the matter with you smokers. You actually enjoy smoking this crap?

I just bought a pack, dunhill reds...I went to a real quiet view on top of a hill, far away from town, I used my trusty zippo to light my first bought cigarette and I can't say I liked it..at all...I hate it already... and  I couldn't wait to finish it, was a little calming at the end but nothing in terms of class or taste...I left throat cancer box in my car, and dont even think I want to try another one...maybe I will carry them around and just offer them to people.. the packaging looks nice..but I rather smoke shisha, the pipes and stuff some friends offers me when I'd over every now and then..

Thanks everybody...

Morale of the Story....  Dont Smoke Cigarets, its nothing that special or enjoyable...maybe I will like Pipes and Cigars better...next time perhaps..

No, they don't enjoy it - they're addicted to it.  Have you not been reading literally every post in this thread?!?

Wait.  No, you haven't.

OK so you get the Morale of the story, good,
now get those things out of your car and just throw them out !
Having them in your car is like an alcoholic who keeps a beer in the fridge.

I started smoking because you could buy packs of 10's, on that basis it seemed like there was less chance of becoming a 'real' smoker. Of course I was too smart to be addicted and so were my friends, it was just a social thing right.
Well, It took me 25 years to actually stop smoking, don't kid yourself, if you so much as think about it you are addicted.
There is no such thing as a social smoker it's simply that you know others who are also in denial.
forget pipes, forget vapourisers, forget 'occasional' smokes.

If you are ever in any doubt meet others with COPD, listen to them breath, watch them die.
Sorry sounds terrible but it's actually reality. I've watched someone die this way, it's not good Bro.

It may help to get into a sport that requires you to be fit, rugby, cycling, running.
