I have used a fitbit wristband for some time and feed my stats into myfitnesspal to couple it with my food intake. It has pretty well always worked. My problem is that I have gone through a number of fitbits and the last three have all shown deterioration in the wristband where the band forms bubbles and eventually the pulls away from the actual fitbit. I have sent two back and fitbit replaced promptly but my latest one has exceeded the warranty and I am sick of having to go through the loops to get it replaced. I have pretty well has it with fitbit they are one of the dearer wearables but they do build shoddy equipment. Internet Health forums are full of complaints about wristbands. Almost $300 for a device that just lasts a year.

I have an android watch which I can use Google Fit which works fine for recording data but does not sync very well with myfitnesspal. Looking at forums this has been a constant complaint.

Has anyone that uses Google fit had experience with syncing. Some users are suggesting using Lifesum which supposedly works better but I have no experience with that product.

Any help  on health wearables and associated apps would be greatly appreciated.

That seems to be a fitness app I am trying to get away from that. I have a Android wear watch and need to keep that so its pretty much Google Fit, but its what I do with that data. I want to insert it into a food/exercise app so that I have a record of food in and exercise out. Unfortunately MyFitnessPal which is great as a food recorder but doesn't seem to like Google Fit

It's interesting what movement patterns a fit-bit wrist band interprets as climbing stairs ....innocent
