I tried this today. As a vegetarian (who used to eat a lot of meat years ago) I didn't like it, as the taste and texture were both too similar to chicken. I think most would take that as an endorsement.

I tried it at Christmas.. Wasn't really a fan, but I'm an unrepentant carnivore.

Information wants to be free. The Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it.

If these guys get away with legally selling this,  then shopping will become very confusing.  Imagine "organic free organics", "sugar free free coke", or "Free range free eggs".

Personally I don't have a problem with how they market it. And its kept with the other non-meat "meats", at least in the shops I have been to.

Not disabled ... just being lazy and being a man... maybe I could get a grant from the government?

I'm sorry, but no. I can clearly see from your avatar you don't meet the any of the criteria to be a member of the victim class.

I'm just thoroughly disappointed that the people making this ersatz chicken meat don't take the opportunity to market "Cat Free Cat".

No change to flavour profile needed - so I'm told, the label would be just as honest, and new markets could be exploited.

If someone does track down a box of it I'd be curious to see a photo of the nutritional panel.

I found some info on a third party site.  But direct info is always better.

I am really upset my angel cakes didn't have any angels in it. I am considering legal action.

Or (based on historical accounts) pork free pork could be sold to would-be cannibals.

I guess because most cats are free range, consumers of cat have a clearer conscience so there isn't the market?

By the time you skin, gut and de-bone a cat, how much is actually left?

Our cat could feed a small family for a week!

I'm hoping for something like this, after we "make contact", our alien overlords will keep us employed in Human Free Human meat factories.  It beats the alternative (but they'll probably just use AI and robots).

Check out the sodium.  10x the amount in chicken.  I guess that's from the yeast extract.

200g of that product is 66% of my daily sodium limit.
