Common sense is not as common as you think.

Watch the Covid Tracer App scans spike as a result!
Oblivian: And queues of people 'not been feeling well' suddenly lined up when they should have previously
Or those being 'cautious' when there is explicit criteria
I didn't like them shrugging off 1 question, if there was a campaign to notify people at the supermarket
It's valid. Sure, a set timeframe is targeted. But some people visit daily and may not be up with the play while being there during the period too
Stores still have up 'do not enter if you have been overseas in last 14 days or near someone who has' - which is all but impossible now. An alert should be no different
If you were in this store friday between... Do not enter.
for a 10 minute visit and when no one has caught covid in a supermarket and yes there is always the first time but what they have done is fine.
Common sense is not as common as you think.
The fact the people with it are not returnees or MIQ facility workers will be raising alarm bells.
It could mean it may have jumped from an asymptomatic person to them.
Today and tomorrow will give an indication, but I would assume that a change in alert levels could be on the cards.
Skychef employee.
Certainly recovery and cleaning of meal carts and laundry is risky, and all those handing the used carts may need to review process.
Her main duties at the company involved laundry duties, but she was also involved in some of the packing and preparation of food.
They may also do Quarantine center laundry where all the NZ cases are, thats more risky still ?
Covid Tracer app is a critical tool here.
Not just for recoding where and when you were, but it can warn you if you let it.
If you allow Bluetooth and others do, it can work even better, also should you forget to scan, or get a poster thats difficult to scan.
Certainly my experience in Auckland is you don't have to worry about a queue to scan, pity.
Fingers crossed and hoping for limited contacts and potential for spread.
Necessity is mother of more than invention, and you do what you have to do.
It would be horrible to have a UK like outbreak a mere months before we get mass vaccination underway.
Melbourne situation where you have upwards of almost a thousand contacts you end up with little choice.
The family did the right thing, got tested, and promptly, so good on them.

Bloomfield said these people had done the right thing - when the mother developed symptoms, she and her daughter had a test.

I think they would have done this already if it was Perth. We saw what happened last time when it got into the Auckland community, with the Auckland lockdown. We have been lucky so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if our luck maybe running out here. Luckily we have moved our immunization program forward, but I can't understand why it would take the entire year to immunisise everyone in NZ, when they appear to be doing it far quicker in the UK, and it appears immunization maybe an annual thing from now on.

Contact tracing is likely too late, due to the lack of people doing it. It should have been compulsory, so people then got into a habit IMO. Instead people only appear to start getting into scanning when a case pops up in the community, and then a few days later they stop again. I have been watching the entrance of a local super market since the lockdown ended and can see this happening.

PM speaking at 7pm on a Sunday
IMO , it sounds like the possibility of moving up levels for Auckland. Level 3?, and maybe level 2 for the rest of NZ? Basing this on it likely being the UK or SA version and what has happened in Perth. Guessing it will occur on Monday.
