TechSol:

Official advice - I was asked to take a photo of this at my vaccine last week by the nurse.

Specifically it mentions taking Ibuprofen…..

I’m not a doctor so, I can’t comment, but if you shouldn’t indeed take ibuprofen then the official advice is incorrect.

Gosh!

Both interesting and a little frustrating to see something in writing versus information carefully and methodically spelled out by the health professional administering both my wife's and my second shots (that they specifically said ibuprofen not to be taken!).

Thanks for the photo!

i'm wondering if these are supermarkets that received product from the Tegel plant, and they are being cautious around fomite transmission

They may still be working out the times and delivery schedules etc

Would be interesting to know how many have recovered.

Also, just for curiosities sake, whether or not the partner of 'Case A' - the Devonport trademan who went to Coromandel - ever got infected (they were fully vaccinated).

I'd heard that at some point they had tested negative, just wonder if it's still the case.

49 new Covid-19 cases
seven of these were infectious while in the community.

youngest person in ICU was only 18

there were more cases than there were negative pressure rooms, patients needed to be moved into a dedicated Covid ward

over 100 staff were coming from other DHBs being brought in to ensure that dedicated nurses only worked with Covid patients.

Victoria follows NSW and gives up on elimination

Lessons being ignored? UK with over 88% vaccinated but,

I'm not sure if they are ignoring lessons.

I'm sure they are trying their best but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

Is UK really over 88% vaccinated from a practical point of view ?

UK is currently listed on ourworld in data as 62.9% Fully vaccinated 70.50% at least 1 shot.
Of total population.
https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations

Children are still quite vulnerable to infection, especially Delta, and great at spreading it and anything else around family to family.
Given restrictions are relaxed in UK.

So yesterday Victoria announced playgrounds are open, in face of growing spread.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-09-01/victoria-covid-cases-lockdown-melbourne-restrictions/100423686
""
Playgrounds will be reopened but the 9:00pm curfew will remain in Melbourne, as part of revised restrictions to be announced today, senior government sources have told the ABC.
