freitasm:And yet, people complain about lockdowns.
tdgeek:He or she must have been exempt and got a negative test, that's the requirements? Either a false negative or got infected up there after the test and prior to boarding. Its only one not both, the second is flatmate, plus one or they went to another household too
If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.
Geektastic: There were certainly examples of people just rocking up to the airport and flying earlier in the Auckland Event.
You'd like to think that has been stopped, but......
When i flew recently, it was Exemption paperwork, Photo ID, Flight details and evidence of negative test. that we before you even got into the terminal.

The traveller from Auckland arrived n October 15... that's nearly 2 weeks ago, unless they are a recluse hermit this will have spread further...
Hmmm wonder where the waste water indicators are

Just to clarify, don't need a negative test to travel out of Auckland. Just need evidence that you've had a test in the last 7 days, so it's possible to have a test an hour or 2 before flying/crossing boundary
Please dont give incorrect advice as this is 100% false.
the requirements differ depeding on what you are doing but flying under an exemption is negative test result within 72h of flying
quote from a personal travel exemption form
"Specific conditions:
1. When leaving Alert Level 3, you must provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test for all travellers, taken within 3 days of travel (or a certificate from a doctor you saw within 3 days of your travel confirming you cannot undergo a test and had no symptoms of COVID-19). You do not need to get tested if you are going into Alert Level 3 and staying there."
Isn't record keeping mandatory? QR scanning isn't mandatory, but something tells me these CHCH cases haven't been signing in at the places they haven't bothered scanning. Is there actually a penalty attached? I can't remember seeing reference to a stick when the government made record keeping mandatory at Level 2

They probably and should have signed in, but thats on bits of paper everywhere in the city. Thats no good to locate LOI's, but once they intervoew and get the LOI's those LOI's can I assume pass on the details to MoH

OK. I was talking about business travel exemption. This is what that states:
Getting tested or examined
Most workers crossing the Alert Level boundary must now carry:
Workers must get tested or be examined in the 7 days before they cross the Alert Level boundary.

What is it that these pro choice advocates don't get about choice?
With choice comes responsibility and recognition that with every choice there is a consequence or outcome. When that consequence or outcome impacts another person they need to act responsibly and consider not just the impact on them personally but on those around them who are also impacted.
They are free to choose but they don't like the consequences.
Frankly I think many of them are acting like little children rather than grown ups.

again like most things in the covid era things are not clear , record keeping is only mandatory for certain businesses in level 2, supermarkets are not part of mandatory record keeping in level 2 but people are asked to still do it.
Common sense is not as common as you think.

It's impossible. Until the vaccine passport system rolls out at the end of November there is no way to prove this.
The Newsroom story this morning is pretty scathing when it comes to our preparation for Delta. If only we hadn't spent 16 months telling the rest of the world how we bet Covid and won.
I wager the WHO aren't using NZ as a poster child any longer.

There have been a few poster childs, and all have faded, so not really news.
