Purportedly related to risk assessment also. Area (Bishopdale) has high jab rate, delivery/back door only scenario.

But it does seem like there is a jab figure in mind where outbreaks become less of a concern. And we've potentially hit it. Will never know.

But yes, Imagine if there was a fully populated diary from every sites back door visited.. if only.

And yes, the rates will jump again. It's about a 1 in 8 hitrate at the gas station for scans. CHC has been back to it's super slack lipservice self.

I disagreed with no hard border for South Island. If it was absolutely essential for someone to come from Auckland should’ve had to have an isolation plan or MIQ stay.

Can always catch between test and boarding plane.

I expect L3 lockdown.

I'm really surprised at staying in L2

Northland - 1 case, straight to L3

Waikato - 1 case, straight to L3

Auckland - lots of cases, stay in L3

Chch, 2 cases - she'll be right, stay in L2

As pleased as I am that we are stying in L2, it just completely mixes up the messaging. Yes, our vaccination rates are okay (up and down across the region as is everywhere) but it does make a bit of a mockery of their earlier decisions.

Depends on the risks. 2pm will tell that story. Apparently they are both very unwell, so possibly laid low for most of the Oct 15th onwards?

Are they in Bishopdale?

Would the COVID app still ping people in LoI if they were not using the app? (if MoH did it manually..?)

Another case of unvaccinated traveler, who seems to care little for their community.
A pattern forming ?

Unvaccinated when there has been ample opportunity to do so.
One in a job which would have been good idea to vaccinate early.
One travelling to Auckland where vaccination would have been prudent to protect their and others families.

Not scanning when we have had more than a year of getting used to this and knowing value of this.
Not feeling well for a week after visiting Auckland unvaccinated, and you just shrug it off and wait ?
Interacting with a lot of family bubbles as they don't care ?

Seems that being unvaccinated is a very good cause for others to be less trusting.
High trust comes with Responsibility, and some just don't care.

However for the latest 6 or 7 cases in Northland, it has stayed in Level 2. So I think it really does come down to risk factors, scanning, and perhaps how forthcoming people are about their travels etc..

Once worked out, they need to back-trace the locations for their associated business ID, and then match to a record. And then push, additional time. But it can happen.

HOWEVER, Risk factor

I get the feeling not many alerts go out these days unless it was an area that deemed to be necessary to advise to keep an eye out (supermarket if not knocking on a delivery door for instance)

We're pushed hard to look at LoIs. I take that as a 'we only alert those who are higher risk'. So rely on the releases, not solely the app.

Shots if we hear 'an abundance of caution' today? (which will ultimately be attached to a, 'we don't know exact movements so need to 3 for time to back trace')

There has been flip flops all day on would he/wouldn't he, with Herald initially saying not off the cards, then changing to ruled out from the AM show interview, to 'considering a lockdown' now back to 'will we see if a snap level 3 is announced - click here to find out'

The 1200 release been and gone. Mostly bus routes in AKL

/edit, they have now revised that and released another statement release schedule for 2PM for the CHC cases.

"Christchurch will remain in alert level 2."

Auckland stays in eternal lockdown but apparently in Chch you can have Covid and do whatever for over a week and it's totally fine.

Piecemeal.

But if you recall I said your best chance of Auckland coming out of lockdown is covid everywhere. Once that establishes there will be no need for Auckland to stay in lockdown.

"There are no major exposure events tied to them."

So, they didnt creep throughout the community, probably as they were both unwell for most of the time. Probably a bullet dodged, till next time

Remember when just having a cellphone in your hand on the forecourt was likely to cause a major explosion? Now the scan codes are right on the pumps and the outcry is when you don't pull out your phone and use it.

I'm gauging the coffee drinkers parking in the non filling spots rocking straight in :)

But yes, the debunked phones causes spark causes fire thing ended up leading to removed 'no phone' signs from the forecourts and change in SoP advise to customers some time ago. They mostly have a white sticker over where they use to be in the list of hazards on the pump. I had picked it up but never commented, figured everyone else will notice eventually.

Wedding bride arrival clock. Apparently...

Egg on the face.

Looking at the historic update times. It appears there are 2hr blocks. 10,12,1400,1600,1800,2200

So maybe... 4?

/edit - 242! they're up!
