At the risk of going off topic, I find it weird that health issues seems to attract the most opposition to expertise. I mean I take my car to the mechanic, he says, you need a new master cylinder for your brakes, I don't go home and google and come back and say, you know what, I think you're wrong and you really ought to try replacing this or that.

You should find a channel called just rolled in on YouTube in the US...

Yes I love that channel. But I'd say that has much to do with a difference in requiring annual WOFS, I mean the stuff that Rolls In would have been off the road in no time here.

Now I'm looking at Monday thinking, man I've got quite a big work day and only three more days to improve enough to contemplate working.

Don't overdo. If you feel tired, take a break. Or simply take the day off.

That's the issue with my job, I travel. So I'm kind of committed for the week. I felt off last Friday, stayed in bed, again Saturday, tested on Sunday. Had to cancel flights, rental car, four lots of accommodation. So it's the same for next week, I kind of have to decide Sunday, then it's really either go, or take another week off.

If I had a desk job, no problem, go in, don't feel great, go home. Just a quirk of my job unfortunately.

What's the correct parlance for anti-vax nutjobs and the people who grift from them?

The Aussies have gone with Nuffies and Cookers which I'm partial to but I don't want to cause any issues for the mod team.

Baby's surgery completed, just what a rigmorale (and load of crap) for it to get done and get to this point. Jesus, what a nightmare for the poor kid.

The parents' lawyer Sue Grey told Newshub the baby is doing well after the surgery went ahead.

She said the parents have seen him again after surgery and are relieved it has gone well. She added it's been an enormously stressful journey.

No sh-t, darlin'! Ever thought if you kept your stupid, sticky ambulance-chasing "I'm-a-lawyer" nose out of it to begin with it wouldn't have been stressful at all??? Spare me your sob stories.

Apparently the individual (Dr. Byram Bridle) is a genuine (veterinary) professor and researcher in his field, but he has apparently promoted an 'incorrect fringe theory' that supports anti-vaxer claims, which has brought him to the attention of that group, who have latched onto him to add credence to their views. This Associated Press item explains it.

They paint the picture of the parents as victims.

The true story is something like this

Parents freak out because they are caught in a web of lies

Suddenly have to face reality

In denial about facts

Go into stages of denial by shifting the topic

Antivax people do all the time change the topic

Hope it goes away

Problem doesn't go away

Freak out more

..... Eventually baby fixed

Relief

Until next reality check

Rinse repeat

Apparently it is a VERY good idea to get as much rest as possible when you have Covid-19. Would recommend you do that if you can.
