Batman:

and so the confusion are aplenty - people moving home caught by police https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=12320107

Of course there will be some confusion. There will also be a-holes claiming to be confused who think this is a big game.
.
The confusion will settle down in a couple of days but the a-holes will keep going and hopefully get dealt to.

The police are apparently recording peoples details, so they know who the people are if it occurs again. The have said they will be challenging people who are out, as to their reason for being out of their house.

The Police Commissioner said a great line today, about a store that was open which they didn't consider an essential service, and asked them to close. I can't recall exactly what he said, but it was something along the lines of, 'we put their mind at rest that they were not an essential service' and would need to close.

But to avoid confusion perhaps they need to gazette notice actual business names, which I think they did in some states in Oz.

"MAD BUTCHER considers that it clearly meets the essential businesses list set out on the MBIE website," the company said. However, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment said butcher shops were not classified as essential."

I had to chuckle at the last line in the stuff article. There hasn't been widespread confusions, there has been a bunch of dicks pushing the definitions as this is clearly a game.

Wife is paranoid, watched a video of a Michigan doctor who says we need to disinfect all groceries. Ideas are leave them outside for 3 days. Freezer won't help.

'fast moving consumer goods',

so we have a race between lung cancer and covid-19

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Gaah, are we going to US-style partisan/muckraking reporting now?

Earlier in the week, The Warehouse Group and several bakeries said they would be open for business before reneging and announcing they would instead be closed.

They didn't renege on anything, they were informed that they were mistaken and complied with the requirements.

Or is it just that the journalist doesn't understand what "renege" means?
