Worrying What I heard from two people I know who returned through MIQ from overseas in the last couple of weeks. Apparently day one people mix with day 14 people in at least two facilities......

Catching it in isolation, might also be possible.
Within the 3-4 days of last exit test where test does not work so well.

Indeed its unfortunate that as you get closer to exiting is exactly time you need to be most careful.
Its a time where many may assume, well I have been tested at least once, all this time gone by I feel great I'm good.
Your guard might be down and you might be taking more of opportunities to exercise, cabin fever etc.

Maybe more genomic testing might show link to another border case. Hopefully they are doing this to be sure.

So may be a rare case of this transmission, as much as the Auckland maintenance worker elevator case was extremely unlikely but ultimately possible.

Hopefully this does have them checking the swab procedure training, lab and the facilities management again as well.

87 more people yet to be tested on ChCh to Auck flight. So its back to hurry up and wait for test results.

Not sure what Government pays but apparently those that need to go to test and fly location/Airline from here pay about $350

I hope that isn't true. Major hole if it is, and not showing common sense. Hope reporters get a MOH standup to ask this. .

I read that Professor Baker suggested people should probably self isolate at home for a week too, after coming out of MIQ,  to get these 1% of outlier cases like this. But unless it is a requirement, who will. I see in the UK they are fining people 10,000 pounds who flout the self isolating rules, even though covid is widespread. We needed more of that sort of enforcement in NZ to stop flouters. Although they are luckily putting many people who could be close family contacts into the Jet Park.

I was a bit annoyed to see that people who leave  MIQ received a letter, proving that they have be in MIQ or 14 days,  and they were certified to be covid free. That is obviously not the case for all if there are outliers.

Who is going to be the one to tip this past  1000 pages!

Again, here's hoping a journalist would point these out

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Yes.  Shouldn't happen - but could.

Then it should show up with genomic testing - as the same as another case in MIQ.

I don't know. There are no 'One News Specials' scheduled in the Freeview TV guide at either 1pm or 3-4pm.

They used to be in the guide if they were scheduled.

Sorry, not here to contribute anything to this conversation.

Just wanted to try and be the first post on page 1000 🎉

That has to be a GZ record.

Edit: damn missed it.

Guess I'll leave the glory for one of you guys
