Just checked my phone and it is now 4.2. Are they updating twice a day?

alasta: I am interested in the 'all time app registrations' measure. Does this genuinely reflect the number of people who have the app installed? Or could people be double counted if they install the app, then reinstall after upgrading their phone?

I'm definitely double-counted - I have two phones, one work, one personal.  Both have the app installed and BT on; but I only scan codes with the personal phone - the one I always have on me.

Version 4.1.0 for iPhone now in App store but not in updates yet.

And my Medical centre is listed as a testing station 😀

I still would love to see, as I have mentioned before, that "On receiving the vaccination you scan a QR code which indicates you have been vaccinated (Date-Time-Location). So if you later become a close contact the QR data base can then prioritise tracing a bit better to those that have not been vaccinated."

In addition that could also be your NZ local vaccination passport. It would also indicate 1st & 2nd jab.

That is odd my app store says 4.2 and it has been there for some days. maybe it only shows the latest app if it will work on a persons phone.

here is a screenshot of mine

  • A flashlight for scanning in low light conditions – useful for the winter months ahead

This feature in itself is genius.  A couple of times I've gone somewhere and the only posters are on an external window which are hopeless at night.  The first time I thought I'd just turn the phone torch on first but as soon as I opened the app the torch turned off.

That's the review rating. not the version.

Version is in-app or normally at the bottom of the 'about this app ->' link (although that still says 4 online)

Reflects registrations, not downloads. This is counted when you download the app and provide an email or mobile phone number.

Of course this data is super useful for contact tracers because the white pages is not what it used to be.

I wish the app could be used without unlocking my phone.

This is something we are exploring.

I couldn't find all these fancy new metrics that have supposedly been added to the dashboard, but it looks like my app is only version 4.0.0 and was last updated on 26 March.

So, I'm guessing I just wait and the latest update will come through in the coming days?

clinty: I like the prompt about days scanned, but I generally have the app open on the scanning page, so will probably never see it

Clint

So just noticed the days scanned info is on the bottom of the scan screen when you scan in - so definitely taking notice of it now

Also scanning seems much faster on my P30

With this new Version 4.1.0 for iPhone I had to goto the app store itself as it still is not coming through in the update section.

But I must say this is a huge improvement in speed and accuracy. Went to Bakers Delight and I was about 2ft away and not lined up within the guide lines when wham it scanned, a first. Plus the opening of the app is far quicker.

Love the new scan UI and the new Dashboard info.

Well done developers 👍

I had to update it manually too. It seems to be working well.
