I hugged a friend and had tea with her on Saturday. That is all.

SaltyNZ:

A metre meter, otherwise known as a ruler, as in, the stay two metres apart ruler.

It could have been a scentimeter or an odourometer. I know I got a bit casual since I was just wearing overalls and covered in sawdust during L4 & 3.

Slightly more traffic than normal today and more people in the office.

I've been here since L2 started, it's been nice sharing the office with just a dozen or so people over the past few weeks, noticed a lot more camaraderie, hoping it kinda lasts now there's more people here.

I think we can all admit to having been driven to personal grooming only by self-disgust on at least one occasion during lockdown.

Or at least, that's what I've heard.

I forgot to shake a customer's hand today, but then I did forget not to shake a few hands during lock down.

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their xDSL broadband network faster and even more now as they are upgrading their rural Conklins. If your still stuck on ADSL or VDSL, why not spend $195 on a master filter install to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?

I had a guy step up for a mainly handshake today, instinctively felt wrong.

To the other issue. I prefer correct being units metre m, km/h.  But then Merican is the default language on the internet,  n'est-ce pas?

I have a strong inkling that if everyone at where I work who could work from home did so the net result would be the whole organisation could fit on a single floor. I really wish that in the future they have a look at working from home for those who do.

Regarding social distancing - I loved it; quiet supermarkets, actually enjoying some personal space.

Other than one short visit to get all my stuff off my desk so the cleaners could do a deep clean a couple of weeks ago, tomorrow will be the first time I've been back in the office since lockdown. I expect it to be weird.

The non-pedantic type :p

This one has always annoyed me.

metre = distance
meter = device

but even some spell checkers get upset especially the "I'm always correct" American ones.

Was shopping at New World yesterday and no one was physical distancing. At the check out I was pay-waving and an elderly gentleman had already loaded the belt up and standing so close to me I could smell his not so good breath.

So we are back to ignoring personal space - so rude. I thought that maybe people would of got better and more polite concerning personal space - not so. ☚ī¸

Hasn’t made much difference here - Mrs Code still doesn’t want me near her. 😀😷

I'm planning on going back to the office next week for a day a week.

The end of lockdown has only changed one thing for me: I have been able to go and see my son play a couple of "pre-season" friendlies (football) without being told to bugger off.

I am still a little weird around people because I have been so anal about keeping 2m apart, so when people get in close or reach over me at the supermarket to get something off a shelf, it has made me quite aprehensive.

I just need to chill out and go with the flow, but I am finding it a little odd...it's almost like I am the only one still stuck in another era.

Must be what it's like to be Amish heading into town for supplies. 😆

I have something of the same. I am doing basic chores, but still avoiding supermarkets. I have got by on deliveries but will have to face up to that soon.

Mostly fine.

It's both good and weird being back in the office. Can't say I've noticed any change at the supermarket. I notice a lot of people on the street are still keeping some distance.
