I have a few material ones I purchased during last lockdown, but also picked up a few packs of these from chemist warehouse while they still have stock https://www.chemistwarehouse.co.nz/buy/100874/breathe-free-protective-face-mask-10-pack

I bought some home made cotton ones off Trade Me that were perfect and then heard Trade Me had banned any home made masks. Maybe time to complain to them about their nanny rules.

Here are some options on Trade Me which are cheap enough to have as back up. Don’t forget that you can steam iron to kill germs and reuse to avoid washing all the time.

Just paste in the listing numbers.

Oops I can't edit the post with the Trade Me listings above.

On the second listing '3 ply medical' the '3' migrated towards the listing number, so remove it.

@$45 each, even 200 masks is $9000... They must have an insane profit margin too.

In the end I went with Earth Sea and Sky $9 make your own masks and a pack of 7 helix.iso additional filters for supermarket shopping.

Going by the sheer number of tutorials on youtube making these is THE craft of 2020!

I have locals in my area posting on community pages they are sewing them up on the side for ~$5-10. So that kit is a good plan to skip half the effort

A friend in Queensland was making them for close friends and the odd local buyer, but when Victoria went requirement she got SUPER busy. It is good to see there is a bit of community reach for people to get stocked up. Reassurance at least.

Not so much if there is some market pricing shifts for off the shelf...

We were given two of these each by our employer recently: https://ultramask.com/collections/ultra-mask/products/v2-3-ply-anti-bacterial-mask

Feels like you're wearing undies on your face, but they (apparently) can be used up to 30x.

Rather cunningly, they have a logo on the pack that looks like they are N95, but it actually just says "Bacterial Filtration Efficiency 95" (whatever that's supposed to mean)

Looks like they are ex-Singapore and are $9.90SGD each which roughly calculates to about $11.00 each plus shipping.

Yep. We got US govt issue ones. Made by Hanes... they ARE basically undies ;P

https://www.hanes.com/maskn2.html

Unfortunately in white.

Surgical and these are fairly hopeless with safety glasses and a bit of legwork panting. So hoping one of these DIY shaped ones would keep a small talk/mouth area

If anyone feels arty. I'm mid making one of these. They seem to be larger than you expect.

My partner made us some masks a while ago with some funky material bought cheaply from Spotlight and a pattern she found on the web somewhere. You use those elastic hair tie things to loop around your ears so there's no fiddling with ties to keep it on.

I should have quantified - the above patterns (run on the large side) can be modified with elastic over the ears rather than the ties it suggests.

The one I've done sits just infront of them.

There is also a DIY pattern to go with the one earth sea sky now sell. (Helix) WHich is less complex than a 2 layer shaped and has room for their wool filter
