My CPAP is set to 15, so already fairly high. I've been thinking about exploring Maxillomandibular advancement which is something the respiratory specialist I saw originally said is something to look at if CPAP isn't working.. been putting it off because having my jaw moved forward doesn't sound like fun.

Yikes, immediately on reading that, a scene from An American Werewolf in London sprung to mind (-;

So to come back to weighted blankets... I’m looking at getting my son one for his birthday next month, and I’ve found some of the main-street retailers that previously sold them no longer do - see the links in this thread to B,B&B and Spotlight.

Can anyone recommend a shop to purchase from online, or even from TM? Many seem to have a microfibre or poly fleece outer whereas I’d prefer one made of natural fibres, as covering my son in a non-breathing blanket overnight isn’t ideal...

Ah reason why they could all be out of stock is that spotlight has a good sale on them currently.  Maybe email them and see if you can backorder

Otherwise trademe had a few (i just did a search on weighted blanket

Yeah, TM looks like the best bet at the moment.

And it looks difficult to avoid some synthetic material in these blankets, as even those with cotton outers tend to have a poly layer, which appears to typically be to ensure the glass beads remain in place. (Those that are fully natural fibres seem to be at the upper end, charging many hundreds of dollars!)

Looking at something like this one: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/home-living/bedding-towels/queen/duvets-blankets/listing/2786977963?bof=ZP4NzRMi

Oh, advice in terms of weight - I’m looking at a 7kg one for my son who’s nearly 13 and currently 56kg (and growing by the day), as I’m thinking it’ll be right for the next couple of years - am I right in thinking a 9kg blanket would be too heavy for him at this point?
