Are the vaccination centres still open in Auckland?

Im due a second dose in a couple of weeks and im wondering if there is a website to show if things are open or closed.

I know the Epsom one was closed for a few days at least to help with the rush on testing.

I have my first jab today at 2.15pm; I had to remember to bring in a T-Shirt as there was no way I could get my work shirt rolled up my arm far enough.

Great idea - that other thread moves at a fair rate of knots!

Would like to take this opportunity to once again highlight the Healthpoint website. This is a great resource to find where to get tested - without waiting in queues at the CBACs. You can filter by location and eligibility (eg accepts everyone vs registered patients only).

In non Covid times, this website is a great way to find various health providers.

Healthpoint - Covid-19 Testing - Anyone can access

+1 for Healthpoint, that was really a life saver for us.

Other half got a test on Friday 2pm since she had mild symptoms, results via text and email last night. She went to a local GP in Auckland CBD after checking Healthpoint site (not registered there) since ours doesn't do them at the moment and we live in CBD without a car. There was no charge for the test either.

She called during the day yesterday to follow up and doctor said the labs were running approximately 2-3 days late processing tests and getting results out. The email received said test was processed on Saturday 21st.

I'm booking mine tomorrow morning as I'm in the 30+ group. Keen to know how soon I will be able to get my first shot. (I'm in Christchurch)

It'll probably silently open up later tonight/today as noted with the last change. But 1st-2nd week of October I suspect going by test ones I looked at over weekend. Some slots were available at Orchard in near future too however.

Once your details are in and booking code received, do a follow up call and ask if there are any GPs in area not yet listed/coming online next week.

Seems to take a little bit to be added to the drop-downs, but many smaller ones are being stood up regularly (2 sites in barrington mall and other malls now)

neb: Was just going to post as a starter, has anyone who's self-isolating had a checkup call yet? When I talked to the Healthline person she said I'd get a checkup call each day to see how I was progressing but I haven't had anything yet, so I'm wondering whether they've overwhelmed or whether they've been trying to contact me on a wrong number.

Answering my own question, got my first call today, from someone at DHB Nelson since Auckland is totally overwhelmed. They asked if it would be OK to get future communications via email since that lessens their workload, which I was fine with. Got a followup email almost immediately.

So if you're isolating and you don't get a daily call it's fine, they're just awfully backlogged.

Vaccination booking system back-end appears to be working well.

I originally had my 1st dose booked for 31 Aug and was booked under the old booking system. Once new booking system started a few weeks ago I couldn't access my original booking although info on the site also said I'd receive a confirmation text from the new system in due course.

Still hadn't received that text by last Tuesday when first case was detected so I booked again via the new booking app and got appointment locally the same day as well as booking the 2nd jab 6 weeks later.

Today I get a text stating I'll be getting a call from MOH. Got that call and they were concerned that I may be getting my second dose too early as system had flagged I had a booking on 31 Aug. I explained to them what happened and they checked my 2nd booking was late September so all good. He deleted my booking for next week.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

Went straight in to the vaccination centre at Orchard Road, Chch for my second shot tonight. Very friendly staff and the place runs like clockwork. Couldn't have been more impressed. Not as busy as when I had my first shot.

No reaction to the first shot so wonder if I will have one for this shot.

Looks like they were turning away those without appointments.

Anyone had a test in Lower Hutt in the last few days? I've been unwell with a cold for 3-4 days and haven't been to any locations of interest but called Healthline anyway and they advised to get a test. They gave me a number to call to book a test at 729 High Street, although they closed at 4 which was shortly before I called. However the website says the Hutt call centre is closed and to use the Riverbank carpark pop up testing center instead. Conflicting info from the phone and website.

k1w1k1d: ... I also hear the wait for a test at Orchard Road is currently 2 hours, ...

Besides HealthPoint as mentioned by antonknee, you might also want to check out https://timeintheline.co.nz/testing-sites/

Thanks for the advice. Just booked both myself and wife. September 19 at Orchard Rd.

Earliest I could get in at my local pharmacy/GP was October 12. My GP isn't doing it.

We'll be going back to Orchard road this weekend. They have an amazing setup and the people there are super nice and extremely helpful.
