Garmin does this too.  I got hit by a cyclist on a shared path in Seattle last year, and it asked me whether to send for help (or something similar).  It would have if I had not cancelled

Here is the photo of the finish, about ten minutes after I fell. I felt my knees hit the deck quite hard and you can see the damage in the photo, whereas my hands were reasonably unscathed. So yes, it probably would have trigged if the impact had been distributed more to my hands rather than my knees.

The difference with a Garmin however is that you need to have your phone with you (unless you have the FR945 LTE).
