Wouldn't expect any more from someone who voluntarily chose to drive a nissan march.

Car mounts footpath in AKL CBD to turn corner. Children on footpath walking to school.

Muppet? absolutely.

"A police spokesperson said they strongly condemned the driver’s behaviour"... what the hell!!

What happened to police writing tickets, do they not do that anymore?  Easy dangerous driving charge there.

Public berating enough of a punishment these days perhaps, no wonder driving standards are in the toilet, no consequences.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Plate visible, so should be easy to issue a ticket.

That is an offence for the driver, not the car. So if the registered owner of the car cannot or will not identify the driver at the time, or the driver disputes that they were driving its a waste of time doing anything with it.

"wasnt me" is all that it takes to have nothing happen when you only have video of a car doing something like that.

Which is why a 111 call should have been made for a drunk driver almost running over pedestrians on the footpath. Try to catch the driver still in the car so they can't deny it. Drunk driving calls are about the only thing the Police will respond to fast.

The driver rounds the corner, edging past a small group of people – including a woman with a pram.

Wondered why the Street was so well behaved this morning!

We actually have a Parking Warden here!

What a difference!

Although a few will be getting a ticket in the mail who thought if they drop in the Street they would be too fast for a ticket!

Wrong! Photographed dropping.....ticket in the mail! Muppets!

(We have No Stopping 8-9 / 2.30-3.30)

I have to go to Hornby after lunch, so might take a wee detour on the way home.

Remember not to stop if it's between 2.30-3.30 🙃

Warden said that they will be back!

Won't stop, but might drive along the bike lane?

Can I turn left from Blenheim Road into Hansons Lane?

Possibly not muppets, but looks like the road engineers may need to redesign the barriers so that this can't happen again.

The two people in this car were very lucky not to get seriously injured!

Police said enquiries into the crash are ongoing.

Yes, left from Blenheim into Hansons (From Curletts intersection) at present while they are doing Blenheim Road.

Note the skid marks in the photo. Te Kuiti drivers are no better than anywhere else in NZ!

Was after 4.30pm so had to do battle with the two lane into one lane traffic snarl up on Blenheim Rd to get there. When do they hope to finish whatever they are doing?

Hansons Lane has certainly changed since I last saw that end of it. See what you mean about all the new cameras. The embassy used to be easy to miss, but not now.

Don't know when they will finish Blenheim Road, but Fulton Hogan are usually close to time.

Expected to be Mid April!
