If they were on bikes it would have been a totally different article. Don't get why playing on the roads on those is acceptable for some reason but other wheeled toys get all the grief.

Ha ha not sure but we were all going slowly he just didn't give way.  He did not look like slowing down so I was wary from the start.

Yes, one of the vids was a red light runner--- that was the worst I've seen for a little while.

I put two videos up, had to re-edit.  Lots of bad drivers around ha ha.

Although, most people are all guilty of not paying attention at one time or another.

This. It's generally pretty easy to tell what's a mistake vs what is arrogant/dangerous driving. Mostly, I don't care either way. I avoid the hazard and drive on. I'm not going to get all worked up for someone who doesn't give a **** or be an arsehole to someone who made a mistake.

jarledb: Met this fellow on the road out of Napier Central today.

Unfortunately didn't get his registration number or I would have posted the video off to the Police.

This guy came through on the wrong side of the divider and the road and was having a good laugh at it.

Might have to fullscreen the video to see what happened. Not too dangerous but pretty stupid.

Aaah the typical righteous a hole that's too clever to use an indicator...amongst the other laws he broke.

Feel your pain, unfortunately nzta creates stupid TV ads which have a punchline of "people make mistakes".

On the other side of the fence, you have insurance companies (youi. ..) which have answers like...." it's your fault, you should of looked where u were going." ...that's if u were in an accident in that video. Got that exact response from youi 2months ago.

And this might actually be the muppet of the year. The guy is running a full stop (not easy to see from the video) and seem to be upset I am using my horn on him... Need a better camera, this one should have gone to the Police, but there is no way to read the license number.

I Don't think so jarledb, people do this to me all the time everywhere in the country. You could be handing out many medals.
It's just the state of people's mindset nowadays, 100% me. Zero consideration for others.

Reminds me that I never got round to posting this video. No time to hit the horn or get a license number.

 Embed fail. bugger it.

Looks like Pakowhai Road? Red van pulling out of Ruahapia or Elwood? I used to work from Whakatu and those two side roads were really dangerous then. Nothings changed by the looks. WOnder how many accidents there have to be before they either put a roundabout in, or control it some other way?

Well spotted. Pakowhai road and Elwood. This guy just cruised past the stop sign and right into traffic. I don't know the traffic flow well enough to say if a roundabout would be good, it would be safer though. Mind you, muppets don't seem to care about the give way rule in roundabouts either.

How about Road Closed.... 2 Pre-warning signs then Road Cones and Road Closed sign 100 metres from the first warning.

Car with trailer uses footpath for 200 metres to bypass the closure!

The road was closed - didn't say the footpath was closed!

(Last week in my street)
