More Lime Scooter stupidity:
Looks like a child will have to die before sensible rules and limitations are brought in, interestingly I suspect a simple date/time and rough location means Lime should be able to discern the scooter concerned and thereby provide renter/CC holder details to the Police...

Technofreak: Twice on the way north between Taupo and Tokoroa today two Muppets blocked me on passing lanes.
On the first occasion I had indicated to over take and commenced moving into the passing lane when the car immediately in front of me jumped out into the passing lane without indicating, as if to overtake the vehicle in front, but maintained the same speed is it had been doing and blocked my path.
The second occasion the vehicle in front moved into the passing lane when there wasn't any vehicle in front of it thus preventing vehicles behind it from using the passing lane to pass that vehicle.
do as the idiots do, pass them using the on coming traffic lane, simple!

Someone stole my car park today.
I was waiting for a car which was leaving a park . As the car cleared the carpark space, an rather elderly guy coming the other way started swinging to to my park which I had been patiently waiting for.
So I got out of my car, and politely explained that I had been waiting for that park for a while and would he move ... he said 'i don't care,it is my park not yours'. He was an absolute m********r.
I raised my voice, called him a few choice names, but what could I do? I was surprised at the arrogance of this guy. He absolutely did not care. I caused a bit of a scene but he really wound me up.
Got back into my car, eventually found another park outside a cafe on the other side of the road. Some diners at the cafe had witnessed this and said they were going to come over and give me a bit of support, but were also amazed at this old guys arrogance. Jeez, he was lucky I am not the type to be prone to violence because he was trying to provoke me.
Try to console yourself with the knowledge that people like that generally have very unhappy lives.

Buy a bag of chips and accidentally spill them around his car. The let the birds poop all over it. More effective if there are seagulls or pigeons around.

Could just cut out the middle-man and poop on the car personally...

I had a guy fire up at me on the weekend because he thought I had stolen his carpark. He was driving on the opposite side of the road, and got his daughter? to get out and stand in the space while he did a U turn nearby. Meanwhile I come up to the park from behind, see the exiting car indicating to go, stop and pop my indicator on, then see the daughter walk into the space and block me whilst I’m about to reverse in.
I yell at her she cannot reserve a park by standing in the space, and despite her protests (as well as the good old "whaaat? I can't hear you" fake out) continue slowly reversing in, luckily she gets out of the way but her Dad then drives up by my window yelling and swearing at me, refuses to accept my assurances that he couldn't reserve the park, saying I stole his park and I’m “taking advantage of a minor?”, and that I’m a w#### before driving off.
Later on foot I saw the guy again and by that time had fact checked on the phone with Google. I tapped him on the shoulder and showed him a 2018 Herald article on the subject of reserving carparks which made it clear I was in the right but when I asked for an apology he refused to give it. Wasn't worth pursuing further so I just walked away, not as bad as your guy but again shows the poor attitude and arrogance of some drivers.

Agree with you.
There have been a few cases recently where people think they can reserve parks by standing in them.
In my case, that was the first time I'd ever had someone purposefully steal a carpark from me. People have done it by accident before, but this guy was something else. Had a big anchor tattoo on his forearm too, guessing maybe he was a tough guy in his youth....

Sounds like Popeye. You're probably lucky he didn't have a can of spinach handy.
