djtOtago: Pak n Save,
I usually have a 10cent voucher. Covenant and as it is self serve, self pay it is quick.

I don't think pak n save's fuel is quick or easy, I especially dislike their self pay system. But maybe it's better if you've agreed to the covenant... :P

I've never had a problem, always used credit card, and it beats standing in a queue waiting to pay while some person in front of you is trying to make up their mind which chocolate bar they should get with their fuel.

Agreed.  I used to go out of my way to go to P&S  just because it was self service and quick.  Now Zzz does it and it's way closer so I use them..

E3xtc: Where I usually stop for gas I have the choice between BP, Gull and Caltex. Always go with Caltex; if for no other reason that the AA Smartfuel discount.
More so I avoid the other 2. BP I don't go to because if the station carries the 98 octane, then there is (usually) no 96 (which I need as a minimum for my car) but I don't want to pay the pointless premium the 98 fuel carries. Gull I avoid due to the ethanol.

Last time i checked 98 is the same price as 95 elsewhere for BP.

Oh yeah,

I went to Caltex in the city. It was darn pre pay. I was like. IDK what my car needs. So i put in 50, Nope. Didnt do it. Another 50, thats a little better :). After paying for the 2nd time i couldn't resist telling the cashier my feeling of it. It contained much profanity.

The problem is, The halfwits that run the show didnt have anything to tell me it was pre paid. No signs on the pumps at all.

Caltex or BP because of AA discount or sometimes Gull if they are cheaper.

hio77: find it a complete nuisance when i have to go to the cashier, tell them that im filling up for them to actually allow it

If I get to the pump and it doesn't work because I have to ask someone to "authorise it" I just put it back and go find other place. "Ain't Nobody Got Time for That"

You guys must all be too shifty looking! ;-)
When I get to prepay I just look and smile at the cashier and they unlock it, no messing or getting in a huff required ... though I think I had to wait 10 seconds once which was very frustrating .... ;-)

I don't have time to try and catch someone's eyes to wave and ask to get service. So I go to the same Z station that is always reliable and works.

Besides being amazingly good looking ?  Well the girls (and maybe the guys too) might take one look at my car and do the math about the old saying regarding guys who drive big cars .....  ;-)
