Parking in the same place as I did last week (overnight from 9pm - noon), I checked the oil and found it to be on the max fill line.
That was after 195km of driving over the week

So, it would seem that I don't really have an oil leak
Just a faulty process of checking my oil

Perhaps the shape of the sump contributed to that.

Next week is here, travelled 205km in the week and checking oil in the same parking spot (and after letting it sit for 5 hours to "drip"), the oil level was mostly full.
Not as full as last week, as the max fill bubble was not covered

So yeah, thread close

Last time I put oil in it myself I put in 10W-40
I found a couple of manuals online that said 5W-30, 10W-40 and 15W-40 should all be ok, and the books at Repco and Supercheap back that up

Yes but it is possible the car is hungrier on one oil than another.
