Anyone used Bridgestone Select for a car service? They have a half price deal going on grabone at the moment, but they've got some pretty shoddy reviews so wanted to know if any of you have used them? Particularly the Parnell or Manukau branches.

Here's the deal for people interested: http://www.grabone.co.nz/auckland/bridgestone-select-88

Just be aware of the strong up-sell ... I went in needing two tyres for a WOF, and ended up with four new tyres, Nitrogen filled, with warranties, and a wheel alignment.

Good for them, they are there to make money, and I have no complaint about the friendliness or quality of service - I just came out and was a bit stunned about how easy it had been to extract extra money from me when I generally consider myself fairly aware of such things :-)

Thanks for that - that's one of the things I'm worried about but is pretty hard to avoid I guess. As long as the quality of service is okay I'll trust my ability to say no to things I (hopefully) don't need!
