joker97: I've owned that Rav4 for exactly 5 months. I have nothing good to say about that car other than it can fit stuff and people in it.

My brother has one - he is Mr Beige, so it has Beige Appeal...

I do not regard that as A Good Thing.

Talkiet: I actually made a gallery of the cars I have driven/owned (that I remembered or cared enough to take pictures of) and put it up here... Listed in order of coolness :-)

http://www.nzsnaps.com/Other/Cars-I-have-owned-or-driven/51191363_xCvjqp#!i=4263476100&k=mRMBpvf

The last car in the gallery is a cheat - I sat in it but we weren't allowed to start it, just take photos for an auction (where it sold for well over half a million USD)

Cheers -N

Working at giltraps i can claim to have driven every new Porsche apart from the 918 and every new VW, A lot of Lambos, Astons, Bentleys (yes the new Mulsanne Speed) and a Mclaren.

Thats all.

It was easily the worst handling, most underpowered and noisiest vehicle I have ever driven, all at once. And I have driven LOTS of vehicles.

Too much chat and not enough pics in here :)

My daily. A BMW E34 535is. One of only 12 sold new and probably only 6/7 left. 25 years old, 310000kms and still pulls like a train. 3.5 straight six, 5-speed manual, LSD, Bilstein/Eibach suspension, M5 bodykit, 17x8 BBS RS412's, Full leather/electric Recaro interior and aircon. All from factory :)

Perhaps a little extra for the school run. Go to 1:10 to hear it start up :)

I'm suprised one of these hasnt come up as a dream car yet.

The amount of time I waste in traffic manipulating the accelerator to stay just close enough to the car infront to not let people push in is insane. One of these would hopefully mean I could be doing something useful like looking at cats on facebook.

Currently own my dream bike, Ducati Hypermotard. It has just turned 2 so while I feel the need for a new one, there isn't anything I want more :-/

I recall my father having a Merc with those upright lights. Quite a distinctive look, I think.

It was the car that made me love euros... Way ahead of its time (compared to the US and Aussie-built cars) considering it was 1971, 4 wheel discs, independant suspension, 5 speed...

Had a Lefty art teacher once that had a stock one of those VW's in white. He was called Ernie so we dubbed it "The Milk Float" after Benny Hill's song about Ernie, the fastest milkman in the West!

If you want a real classic 'modern' Merc, try and find a RHD 450 SEL 6.9.

Dad had one and yes, the 6.9 is the engine size in litres (V8). Late 70's/early 80's I think that was. Had pneumatic suspension as well. Went like s**t off a shovel!

Current weekend toy (that I can afford to break):

You can afford breaking your weekend car.... You might never be able to break it though.

Yea I've had it 15 years and lord knows I've tried...
