The new RS3 does look pretty nice, there are a few 2012 models showing up on trademe for around the $50,000 mark as well.

When you live your life on Twitter and Facebook, and are only friends with like minded people on Twitter and Facebook, you are not living in the real world. You are living in a narcissistic echo chamber.

The Millionaire Next Door The Surprising Secrets of America's Wealthy - by Thomas J. Stanley

According to the author of that book - making hips of money and having the most expensive car - are not necessarily two things closely related to each other..."Frugal" is the word of the game...

Leno (millionaire) who owns perhaps one of the biggest garages full of rare and quite expensive cars said in the interview that there is no Lamborghini in his garage - Why? - Too expensive....

Now, you may smile the whole day today - the car I drive is the best car one frugal geek was able to find 12 years ago - Toyota Starlet 1998.

I bought it in 2003 on arrival, thinking of dumping it in case I decide not to stay.

I was unsuccessfully offering that Starlet as a gift to my two boys - causing never-ending jokes. Both refused... Hence I am still driving that beauty. Unbeatable when It comes to parking - only 3.7 meters long.

Dream car? Not sure.

Talking about competition:
Please help me to win that competition (please Vote via the link below) and I will start dreaming about EV - Tesla? Leaf? Prius Plug-In? we'll see..

http://vectorfutureofenergy.co.nz/page/yurybotkov

P.S. - you can make fun while voting by putting comments there, something like: "geekzone.co.nz is voting for a geek who drives cheapest car ever" :-) or
"Geekzone.co.nz geek who drives Audi is voting here for a geek who drives Starlet.. ..

I stayed with friends of friends at new years, brand new ML63 AMG in the drive. House was rented and did not match up to the car at all.

I sold my fun car to buy a house, now I drive a Corolla :(

My mother has had a string of Audis - she bought a new Audi A1 a few months ago in some ghastly purple colour.

I have always found the ride unpleasantly harsh in every Audi I have been in with the exception of a friend's A4 convertible which was quite civilised. I quite liked the 4.2 in my Allroad but did not like the ride at all. They always seem to transmit every tiny bump right up your spine instead of absorbing them!

LOL! Nope.  I always thought the Chrysler 300c looked like a drug dealers car, especially in WHITE:
