If it's an aftermarket alarm, then it is usually the alarm driving a solenoid in the drivers door that then triggers the rest of them thru a switch. The solenoid might not move enough or trigger the switch for long enough to work.

This suggests to me more than just some lubrication is needed. Lack of lubrication will increase wear and tear and it's a good idea to put silicone spray where the glass slides inside the guides on the door frame.
The regulator might well be damaged now but the reason these things often initially fail is because the channels are dry and sticky which results in unnecessary load on the regulator. I always start with the easy stuff first like lubing the channel and see how things play out.
