If anyone can help me out on this I would greatly appreciate it.

So my iPhone X is at the local Courier Post depot in Tauranga. I have had this confirmed on the phone with the service desk. The delivery date for the phone is Monday 13th.

As the phone is sitting in the depot I asked whether I could simply call in, with two forms of ID, and pick up the package. I was told that Courier Post policy did not allow this to happen.

Seem ludicrous to me as I will not be home Monday so am actually saving a Courier a wasted trip and me a wasted trip to to the depot on Tuesday.

Does all of this sound correct? Has anyone been able to pick up parcels that are sitting at the depot?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or personal experiences around this.

Yes, but about 5 years ago. Maybe they have gotten stricter since then.





Life is too short to remove USB safely.

It is at the depot, with hundreds or thousands of other parcels. They won't know where it is till it's sorted by the courier.

Have you considered redirecting it instead.

Once they miss delivery you can quite often get it there. Can you not ask then to redirect to themselves so you can pick up?

That is what happened to my parcel.

 

3 times they failed to deliver it, sent it all over the country except to me.

 

So I insisted they keep it at the depot and I would collect it.

 

It was my passport and I was getting fed up with them.





Life is too short to remove USB safely.

courier post are getting worse, just do a redirect and that will add a day to the delivery usually and pick it up from the depot.

 

 

 

i have had countless problems from courier post claming to have delivered items and yet they are no where to be found, its not untill i call customer services that they say that they have delivered the package and i ask them if their courier driver is invisible and some how delivered it as they dont seem to appear on my cameras.

 

not even a calling card left behind on more than one occasion but the package had been delivered or attempted to be delivered by some invisible courier, so no idea, i think they are getting lazy and cant be bothered to do their job any more.

If you're not going to be home on Monday you should just redirect the parcel online since you presumably have the tracking number.

I've never been allowed to pick an item up prior to first delivery attempt so always redirect when required.
