Does anyone have any ideas for sourcing replacement door mirror glass for an Australian built '96 Camry? I see there's a few options for American built vehicles but I'm not sure if part numbers are the same. Lost both mirrors while parked up for a while in Auckland and there weren't any remains to find out what the part numbers were. Came back too late to be able to drop in at wreckers. Housings are OK (part numbers behind mirrors are LH1408535 and RH1408534) and it looks like the mirrors would just clip on. I'm way outside any of the main centres, so would need to find someone I can order online from.

Any suggestions?

I don't think any wreckers will sell you just the mirror glass, they'll want to sell the whole mirror.

Have you rung a Toyota dealership? Sometimes the pricing can be quite good on genuine parts.

I got a mirror glass for a late model Mazda 3 the other day and it was only $35 from Mazda NZ.

Try someone like Smith and Smith. They could probably cut something to match.

Yes, with a backing plate like this:

Edit: I've also just seen that I don't legally need them on a pre-2000 vehicle
