Recently bought a 2015 Corolla Hatchback and since yesterday the left headlights no longer work. The weird thing is, neither the day light, low beam or high beam are working anymore. I'm used to replacing lights, but then just only one stopped working, not all 3.

Can it be a fuse? Or do all 3 stop working if one is broken? Or can it be a broken wire?

The indicator at that side is still working.

According to the manual it's either a halogen, or discharge light. I'm pretty sure it's a halogen light, but not 100% sure.

Id suspect a loose cable somewhere - usually a single fuse will control both lights.

From memory of my 2013 Corolla there is one bulb for standard / high beam, but not sure if there's a third for the "barely on" setting. I purchased good brand bulbs from ebay a couple of years ago for both our cars after I had a run of failures as they're a lot cheaper than in NZ, but of course since then not a single bulb has blown.

Check the electrical plugs with a test light, or if you haven't got one - swap the halogen bulb from the other side if they aren't HID's to see if it works.

The barely on setting is normally a separate 5w bulb. It is a "position light" ie a backup for a blown headlight so you don't completely look like a motorcycle. They aren't bright enough to be used on their own while moving.

Thanks all! I just checked, and both lights are broken. So guess either they broke at the same time, or one of them was already broken.
