in Q1 an Q2 they were delivering around 100 a month... so it will be very interesting to see what they do in July, and whether it blows out their delivery times, ( currently 3-9 weeks)
Although its also interesting to note that Model 3s are pouring into OZ (6300 in H1)- which helps NZ as it maintains production demand for RHD in this part of the world...
No link, you wont see any official statements on this, just actual deliveries..
As a new Model 3 owner, I can't answer some of the questions being asked here as I simply haven't had the car long enough to know these things.
What I can tell you is that even with "reduced winter range", I will need more "pit stops" than the car will need electricity top ups.
Spending a few minutes with A Better Route Planner, Plug Share and Charge.Net will give you some reasonable indication of what you can achieve in the model of your Electric Car before purchase, while the in car navigation will give you a good estimate based on your history of the car.
Based on the charges I have done on public charges; approx $15 for a 30-80& topup via Charge.Net and $25 via a SuperCharger
now i've discovered something really annoying
if you take the price of the model 3 in the US, add GST, the top model comes to (using the averaged exchange rate not the buy/sell that you end up paying but it won't make that much of a difference)
NZD 86839, the middle model NZD 73,654, lowest model NZD 59338

FSD is going monthly charge of USD $199! So I probably would wait with that FSD purchase. That would be 4y of monthly payments. And you can tag that on/off monthly. So maybe just do it during holidays etc.
It'll be $300-330 here ( have to add gst too), which is ~37 months to cover the 1 off cost right now ($11,400) as we've not had a matching price increase that the USA has.

Are you using the right prices? Not the 'potential saving' one but the 'Purchase price' one.
A SR+ is $39,990 USD, inc GST thats around $65,900 NZD
oops
I actually suspect we may have the cheapest tesla on the planet after the rebate is included?

Nah,
if you navigate the hodge-podge of US state EV subsidies and find one with a low/no sales tax you can get cheaper than ours.
Oregon has no sales tax, and a $2500 EV subsidy, so on the road its about 38,500 USD... or $55K NZD..
I've used Autopilot once since getting the car and .. it just didn't feel right, so paying $11k for adding some features that I couldn't use on the majority of my daily commute isn't going to happen.
That being said, I'll try it out for a month if I could - just to play with Summon and Auto Parking

You're in Dunedin right? I'm not sure what the motorway situation is like in Dunedin but most of the FSD features that we have available currently are mostly suitable for motorway driving so yeah, I wouldn't suggest buying the FSD package if you're not on the motorways much. Summon can be handy in certain situations but I don't think it's worth the $11k pricetag.
However, Autopilot is pretty nifty for open road driving but yeah, for some it does take a bit of using it to get confident with it. When I moved from Auckland to Christchurch I used autopilot most of the way when I wasn't in the cities/towns but at that point I had used autopilot over thousands of km's already. When I first got the car, a few days later we had to drive from Auckland to Wellington for Christmas and I was much more aprhensive about using AP.
Looking to buy a Tesla? Use my referral link and we both get credits
I love driving.
For this reason, I couldn't imagine I'd ever want to use FSD, let alone paying thousands for the privilege.
You're basically turning your experience into the equivalent of a public bus, albeit with less passengers.
Driving is fun yes, but driving in traffic on straight canty roads isnt...
