Thanks for the feedback.

@turtleattacks: did you have any initial setup problems or did it work straight out of the box?

I have tried removing all connections, rebooting the phone and re-doing the setup, but had the same experience (worked first time then wouldn't reconnect). Good idea on the software front, but there doesn't seem to be any companion app that I can find.

Do you think it's worth seeing if there's an update to the firmware? I've found a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEre5-h_EVI) that explains the process (much better than the instruction manual does!).

Another option could be to see if I can find another car with wired AA and test it out but don't think I know anyone! (Kinda wish Tesla would provide AA/CP support...)

Absolutely no issues out of the box. I should mention that we use it with Apple Car Play though.

I've also tested it on a Jimny and it worked well also.

I noticed that you can buy the product from Amazon so it's probably worth buying it from Jeff and have a good return policy. (Rather than buying it from some mysterious factory in China)

I made an attempt to log into the device’s web-based interface but couldn’t even see its wireless network on any device (whereas it had been visible prior). I really can’t be bothered with trying to sort this, and as it’s over 15 days since it arrived I can’t submit a request for a refund - nor even find contact details for the AE store I purchased from!

So I’ve done what I should have done from the beginning - ordered an AAWireless unit from Amazon - $143 including delivery. Fingers crossed this works out of the box, but in the two days we’ve had the car I’ve already got frustrated with having to plug the phone in (and have accidentally left my phone in the car), so it’ll be worth it if it works….
